Max Applebaum
Max hails from Boston, home of the hated Red Sox, to whom he maintains a stubborn allegiance here in the province of the mighty Yankee. However Max is very much a New Yorker in every other regard, having moved here at age seventeen to attend New York University. Upon his arrival he immediately fell in love with the city and chose urban studies as his major. Max decided to become a tour guide when he took a class in college for which the final project was give a walking tour. He met Gideon at a community dinner in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn not long after that and the rest is tour guide history.
Now an urban planning graduate student at Hunter College of the City University of New York, Max will talk for hours about the history of transportation in New York if given the opportunity. (Dont give him the opportunity!) When not working or writing papers, Max enjoys swimming, cycling, exploring New York City, and talking local politics.
